Dwarf Heritages: Forge Dwarf (Pathfinder 2E Races)

Hello adventurers of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my guide and thank you for checking out another dwarf heritage. Today we’re gonna be addressing the Forge Dwarf. Now this is going to be an option that is very traditional in terms of how a lot of us view dwarves already. These are dwarfs of the forge as the name literally implies. But they got a couple other mechanical benefits beside that. So let’s take a quick look at their breakdown and flesh them out.

Table of Contents

You have a remarkable adaptation to hot environments from ancestors who inhabited blazing deserts or volcanic chambers beneath the earth.

This grants you fire resistance equal to half your level (minimum of 1). And you treat environmental heat effects as if it was one step less extreme (So incredible heat becomes extreme, extreme heat becomes severe, and so on).

I think this is really cool! Ultimately this is going to be another one of those niche options, it’ll be incredibly effective under certain environments and certain conditions. But i feel like for most campaigns at least for the majority of them this ability is gonna be going unused for the most. I think it would be cool for NPCs or even potential enemies to have this ability under the relevant environments.

But i don’t know, there’s a couple area of effect spells and effects that you could use and then hop into them knowing full well you’re going to take less damage and the person you dragged in there. So i suppose that’s one surefire use of this trait but overall i do feel like it’s a little niche at least that’s my opinion.

That being said though! Let me know what you think down beneath in the comments section. We will be covering statuses and effects in a later article. So i’m not gonna get too deep into him here but. Let me know what you think down beneath let me know what kind of cool backstories you can come up with regarding the Forge Dwarf. Just let me know any thoughts, questions or concerns you have regarding them as well. That being said, i hope you all have a great day and as always happy adventuring.
