Dwarven Ancestry Feats Level 9: Stonewalker

Hello adventurers of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my guide and thank you s much for checking out another one of the ninth level ancestry feats for the dwarf. Today we’re going to be taking a look at stonewalker, this is an incredibly cool feat, i love what paizo was trying to achieve i think they did a great job of it. I think if you’re a stealthier character this is perfect for you. That being said, cool thematics aside let’s take a look at this description and then we can break this down.

You have a deep reverence for and connection to stone. You gain meld into stone as a 3rd-level divine innate spell that you can cast once per day. If you have the Stonecunning dwarf ancestry feat, you can attempt to find unusual stonework and stonework traps that require legendary proficiency in Perception. If you have both Stonecunning and legendary proficiency in Perception, when you’re not Seeking and the GM rolls a secret check for you to notice unusual stonework, you keep the bonus from Stonecunning and don’t take the –2 circumstance penalty.

Very cool stuff! Really do love this. once again i obsolutely love both the thematic and the mechanical implications for this feat. Now let’s take a quick look at the breakdown here.

So looking at meld into stone takes two actions to cast one somatic, one verbal. The duration is 10 minutes.

You merge with an adjacent block of stone with enough volume to fit you and your worn and held possessions. You must touch the stone when you cast the spell. You can hear, but not see, what’s going on outside the stone, and you can cast spells while in the stone as long as they don’t require line of effect beyond the stone.

Significant physical damage to the stone while you are inside it expels you and deals 10d6 damage to you. Passwall expels you without dealing damage and ends the meld into stone. You can choose to dismiss this spell.

Very cool stuff! In terms of the other parts i just put stonewalker in the senses category of my perception or somewhere else highlighted a different color or whatever just make sure you mark it. Very cool stuff! i really do like it.

That being said, let me know what you think down beneath in the comments section. Mention any thoughts, questions, comments, concerns or build or idea concepts. That being said, i hope you all have a great day and as always happy adventuring.
