Cavern Elf (Pathfinder 2E Races)

Hello adventurers of all shapes and sizes! Welcome to my guide and thank you so much for checking out one of the elven heritage’s. Today we’re gonna be taking a look at the cavern elf pathfinder 2e which is honestly a heritage i wasn’t expecting to see, to be honest the idea of an elf outside of a drow or something similar willingly living underground just didn’t really click for me.

I mean they’re typically about free expression and stuff like that, so it’s just a weird choice. However i gotta say upon further analysis, i really liked the concept of it. Maybe like a secluded character or a hermit or someone who just was exploring or following some kind of passion for gemstones or something along those lines just going down beneath the earth and losing track of time and throw several decades under there they adapt and come out, they’re kind of little bit different.

I think it’s a really cool concept and nonetheless. But let’s take a quick look at the breakdown here and talk about the mechanical difference.

Table of Contents

You were born or spent many years in an underground tunnels or caverns. Where light is scarce, you gain darkvision.

Now darkvision in case you’re not super familiar lets you see dim light in darkness just as well you’d see it in bright light, although it’s kind of black and white so you can’t really make up color differences but.

That being said, it is arguably one of the best abilities in any game and i mean i get elves already have pretty good vision but it’s not as good as this so. I think it’s worth it, i think it’s a pretty strong ability to gain out of the gate there it is a little bit more niche in terms of the way that not all of your party members are gonna have it so the odds of them wanting to willingly go into a dark area without some formal light is gonna be really rare.

But in those rare instances where you’re alone or where you’re in a position to be able to take advantage of a certain spell or something of that nature. This will be super helpful for you.

That being said! Let me know what you think of the pf2 cavern elf down beneath in the comment section, also mention any thoughts, questions, comments or concerns you have regarding them and what kind of character you think they’d be. That being said, i hope you all have a great day and as always happy adventuring.
